Motivations Why CBorgs? Why NFTs? Why Ethereum?

Motivations

The CBorg Hero NFTs were born in January 2022, after we discovered potential underlying utilities and possible applications to drive impact on an environmental, societal & governmental level. It was clear to us that we wanted to make our contribution to this fantastic ecosystem. Our objective is not to be another NFT project, but one that offers value, utility and purpose.

We took as a starting point two observations that came out at the beginning of our journey:

• NFTs are abstract for a lot of people**.** We all have already heard that one friend or family member say, "it's based on nothing", "it's useless", “so much money for a jpeg”. The fact is that most people that are not in the crypto/NFT sphere, don’t understand the magical technology of decentralization and community valuation rather than expert valuation. However, we can all understand utility and actions. Therefore, the CBorg Heroes is a utility project that everybody can easily understand and appreciate, newcomers as much as early adopters.
• Many NFT collectibles projects do include ESG in their roadmap, unfortunately, too often, donations are anecdotal, opaque, and with very little or without any clear vision on the positive impact of their donation/investment.

At this point, we knew that charity and utility were going to be the keywords of our project.

• The CBorg Heroes project aims to combine NFT ownership & purpose, all in one.

Why NFTs?

NFT is the perfect technology to bring together a large community, and allow owners to participate in helping the planet while having fun thanks to a strong ecosystem in the blockchain space.

By bringing return on investment to our community, we aim to make the experience accessible to as many people as possible while raising awareness of the cause we are defending.

Why Ethereum?

Ethereum is as of today the main network for NFTs, allowing for Decentralized Applications to be built on top of it and to generate value. We are strong supporters of ETH 2.0 and once the merge happens we believe that ETH will become the most appreciated smart contract platform with a significantly reduced environmental impact. Thus, projects built on ETH will increase in value and prosper in the long term.

The TVL on the ETH is still more than 60%. Using ETH blockchain will also allow us to do cross chain connectivity and airdrops with Layers 2 and EVM compatible blockchain.
